Point in Canon/AU: After Gwyn has sacrificed himself to the Flame, and before the Chosen Undead approaches the Dark Moon Altar. At this point, Gwyndolin oversees the city of Anor Londo and keeps an illusion of the sun high in the sky, and keeps an illusion of deis sister Gwynevere as a false face to sway visitors. Deis Blades of the Dark Moon serve dei and slay those dei deems “sinners”.

Personality:

• Reserved and regal; Gwyndolin is royalty and acts accordingly.

• Lonely--very lonely. As the last living deity in Anor Londo, Gwyndolin has only had the company of deis Blades for many many years, and they are often humans or undead who never last long. Dei longs for companionship, but does not think deiself worthy.

• Self-hating in wholly insecure. Dei thinks of deiself as an ugly monstrosity and a disappointment.

• At the same time, Gwyndolin is a deity and thinks deiself above all mortals.

• Disrespect of deiself is tolerated, but disrespect of deis family does not end well for the aggressor.

• Calculated. Does not often act before thinking.

• A genuine smile is hard to find upon Gwyndolin’s face.

Powers/abilities/skills:

• can cast destructive spells, often in the form of bright orbs of light that inflict damage

• is a master illusionist, and can even change the weather through illusions

• can create physical illusions that can physically harm others; these are made out of souls

History:

Gwyndolin is the youngest child of Gwyn, the Lord of Cinder. Dei has two siblings--one was a fire deity that was banished, and the other is deis sister Gwynevere, who was married off to a prince in a faraway land. Gwyndolin also has a niece, Priscilla the Half-Dragon, who is an abomination of a child between Gwynevere and the scaleless dragon Seath.

After Gwyn sacrificed himself to the Flame, Gwyndolin was the only deity left in Anor Londo. Dei oversees Gwyn’s tomb, and viciously protects Anor Londo and Gwyn’s covenant, while trying to find the Chosen Undead that is destined to sacrifice themselves to the flame to keep it burning, just as Gwyn had done.

Headcanons:

• Gwyndolin stands at 9ft tall; though deis body is fair human size, the serpents that stand dei upright heighten die. The serpents are a part of deis anatomy.

• Dei always keeps deis mask on.

• Dei has a masculine voice.

• Dei loves white, gold, silver, and lavender colored clothing and jewelry.

• Deis loneliness has fostered a strong need for companionship, though it’s unlikely that dei will find friendship in mortals. However, dei does gravitate towards beings that might be considered “abominations” like deiself, or just beings that look similar to deiself.

• Though dei draws deis magical power from the moon, dei has a powerful love for the sun, and can even create the illusion of false suns.

• Dei also uses deis illusions as guardians, usually forming massive armored figures that stand 18ft or taller. These figures can harm others with their weapons and sheer mass.
